Ironmen

Proverbs 27:17 "As iron sharpens iron, so one man sharpens another."

What are the ways we can sharpen one another?

Here are some of my ideas.

  • Express gratitude and thanks for your friendship.
  • Ask, "How's your spiritual journey progressing?"
  • Share good books, sermons, blogs, websites and other resources that have helped you.
  • Pray for one another.
  • Send a note of encouragement.
  • Write an email or make a phone call
  • Share your victories and defeats.
  • Be open, honest and transparent.
  • Be a good example.
  • When you sense a man is drifting, reach out and don't let go.
  • Men can be loners when it comes to work projects. Swallow your pride and ask someone to join you the next time you have a home remodeling project, yard work, auto to repair, etc.
  • Share your dreams for the future.
  • Share your failures from the past.

What are your ideas and experiences?

And, let's not be sluggish. Be proactive and make contact with your fellow ironman today.
